Ready – the right state of mind, fully prepared.
STORY OF COMBAT READY
Combat Ready was born from the realization that there was a significant gap in leadership training methodologies. While there was no shortage of good leadership courses, none of them were practical enough. Challenging times require strong leaders and people who take ownership in every situation — and this kind of person is shaped only through hands-on experience and practical training.
This is the same way leaders are trained in Estonian special forces, which is also the long-term background of the founders, Martin and Remo. By combining their clients’ challenges and needs with their unique military experience, Combat Ready was created.
Combat Ready is the only official partner of the leadership company Echelon Front
Since there was no need to reinvent the wheel, the decision was made to adopt and adapt principles that had quite literally been tested in combat for the Estonian market.
In 2009, U.S. Navy SEALs Jocko Willink and Leif Babin created a framework to prepare naval forces for upcoming battles.
Fresh from the battlefield, they documented the core principles that had helped them operate and lead under extreme pressure—principles that, over time, became the foundation of leadership training across multiple units.
This framework became known as Extreme Ownership, with its accompanying leadership principles referred to as the Four Laws of Combat.
Combat Ready’s mission is to develop better leaders through the principles of personal ownership.
Combat Ready’s mission is to develop better leaders through the principles of personal ownership.
Our vision is to build a successful and resilient society where the mindset of Extreme Ownership and a culture of relationship-building are embedded in every leader and every team. We aim to be pathfinders who not only train leaders, but also create and support systems that help freedom endure and grow.
You do not need to be a born leader! It is a skill which can be trained and developed. “Train as you fight” is the motto of Combat Ready Based on intensive training and experience from overseas missions, we have put together a training programme with a practical focus to develop your teams’ leadership skills.
We don’t make soldiers out of you, but we do put you in an environment where you can put your skills to the test. We promise our training puts theory into practise, giving you knowledge and letting you make your own mistakes to learn from.
In partnership with Jocko Willink and Leif Babin’s company Echelon Front, we focus on building and training high performing teams.
You can count on us, just as we count on each other in Combat Ready.

Combat Ready was born out of the realisation that there was an important gap in leadership training methods in our region. There are many good management courses but not practical leadership training. Challenging times call for good leaders. It is only through practical training and experience that you can become a great leader.. This is very similar training to what military Special Forces recieve. This is how Combat Ready was born.
As a company, we have chosen to grow slowly and steadily to maintain quality. Our instructors are veterans of various elite units and, after retirement, have gained additional knowledge and experience in different areas of life: entrepreneurship, coaching, teaching, national security, professional sports and creative fields. All our staff also complete our own training programme before taking up their posts. Strong leadership knowledge and practical experience is the foundation of every member of our team.
What is behind our steady success? How did we come to be awarded “Trainer of the Year 2022” after such a short amount of time?
We believe this comes from the mindset we teach in our trainings and the leadership principles we put into practice. Teamwork is the foundation of everything. We have made mistakes both on the battlefield and in our personal lives. We know what failure means and how to move on from it. No excuses, no blaming anyone else – take personal responsibility and work as a team – that’s the only way to succeed. If the team doesn’t win, nobody wins. We want to win! In 2023, our instructor Priit Lilleväli was awarded “Trainer of the Year” by Estonian business newspaper “Äripäev”. In 2025 our whole team was awarded ”Training Team of the Year” by Estonian business newspaper ”Äripäev”.
2026. Our goal for this year is to strengthen the culture of leadership across Estonia. We want Estonian people to be aware of Extreme Ownership mindset more than ever, because freedom doesn’t come for free. Combat Ready is constantly looking for ways to make training more effective and accessible to more people. Our plan involves growing our Online Academy, produce many more podcasts about Leadership, give back even more by educating young people in school and eventually expand our operations across Europe.
We want to challenge the idea that good leaders are born with it. We want to develop the idea that each and every one of us is a leader. In a crisis, everyone must take Extreme Ownership and think for themselves. Depending on the circumstances, you might need to also lead your superiors, your colleagues and, of course, yourself.
Everyone is responsible for everything that happens around them. In an organisation and in our personal lives, everyone is a leader. It all starts with looking at your own actions and what steps you can take to find a solution. We believe there is no place for making excuses or blaming others.
In 2009, Jocko Willink and Leif Babin, members of the American Navy SEALs, created a system to prepare their team for upcoming battles.
After returning home, they wrote down all the important basics that had helped them and their team on the battlefield. These ideas became the cornerstones of their New York Times bestseller “Extreme Ownership” and the basis of their leadership consulting.
The framework developed came to be known as Extreme Ownership and the Four Laws of Combat Leadership
