We firmly believe that good relationships with the people around you are the key to success – no matter what your definition of “success” is.
The model of a good relationship includes respect, listening, trust and influence (towards positive outcomes) and caring. However, for the model to work, there needs to be a conscious and thoughtful communication and attitude.
What do you learn through coaching sessions?
We practice and develop one-to-one (1:1) conversations. This includes improving communication skills, developing empathy, deepening listening skills and implementing a model of taking responsibility. It’s a model of having a conversation, with the aim to get feedback about myself – where I’ve made mistakes or had the wrong mindset that has affected the people around me.
If I get feedback, I can change myself and get better results for everyone. It’s a universal skill that helps me to build and maintain good relationships at work, at home, with friends, and in all aspects of my life. Better 1:1 communication skills ensure maximum impact and effectiveness of your conversations.

KEY ACTIONS:
- Initial meeting (2 hours): getting to know the client’s expectations and objectives; mapping the current situation and what needs to be done; getting to know each other and building a trusting relationship.
- Introduction to the 1:1 conversation model (1 hour): presentation of a model that supports self-leadership and taking responsibility. Homework: first practice of the model with a colleague.
- 1:1 conversation practice with the coach topractice skills and confidence development. Homework: practice the model with a colleague.
- Discussion and problem-solving (1 hour): discussing questions, constraints and setbacks to help you have better 1:1 conversations.
- Feedback and staying focused (1 hour): reviewing the feedback from the exercise, addressing emerging issues.
- Summary and self-analysis (2 hours): summary of meetings, discussion of results achieved, self-analysis.
Why is it good to learn how to have 1:1 conversations individually?
One to one meetings create a private and safe environment where you can freely discuss topics, concerns that you would not want to, and perhaps even dare not, discuss in a large group. During the sessions, no-one makes judgements and so the real problems get solved.

- Keynote: Introducing the Combat Ready framework and its key points.
- Personal objectives for the workshop: each participant sets personal objectives for the workshop.
- Model demonstration and practice: we will teach how to use the model and put it into practice.
- Accountability model: we will introduce the accountability model and continue the exercise.
- Exercise analysis and discussion: analyse the results of the exercise and discuss areas for improvement.
- Practical work: a homework assignment to apply what you have learned in the workplace.
- Feedback report: feedback in writing online and discussion.
- Ongoing 1:1 coaching: possibility of individual coaching or additional meetings.
Why is it good to learn how to have 1:1 conversations with a team?
When you learn with a team, you acquire knowledge and skills at the same time, so you improve the mindset, relationships and communication of the whole team faster. It all starts with me. when the whole team thinks the same way, results start to come that no one could have dreamed of.
